Lacrosse is a really old sport, older than your grandparents, and even older than their grandparents! It was first played by Native American tribes hundreds of years ago. They used wooden sticks and balls made of deerskin. Imagine playing with sticks that big and balls that soft! The game was called ‘stickball’ and sometimes games could last for days and cover miles of ground! 😮 Some games even had hundreds of players on each side!
