They can remember watering holes, food sources, and even other elephants for many years. Imagine remembering all your friends’ birthdays – elephants can do that for their herd!
It’s not just for fun that elephants play in water. Splashing helps them keep cool in the hot sun and also cleans their skin. Sometimes, they even throw mud or sand on themselves to protect their skin from the sun and insects. It’s like they’re wearing a natural sunscreen!
