Say hello to our amazing Stegosaurus friend! 👋 This big guy is not scary at all, he’s actually quite happy and ready to explore a world of color with you. Did you know that the name Stegosaurus means “roof lizard”? That’s because of those awesome bony plates that run all down its back! 🤩 Imagine them in bright red, sunny yellow, or even sparkly purple!
Stegosaurus lived a very, very long time ago, way before humans were even around. It roamed the Earth during the Late Jurassic period, which was like, bazillions of years ago! 🗓️ Its tail had some pointy bits, called “thagomizers” (say that five times fast!), which it might have used to defend itself from hungry dinosaurs. But don’t worry, our Stegosaurus is just here to smile and be colorful for your color panel!
This gentle giant was a plant-eater, so it loved to munch on ferns and other tasty greens. 🌿 It probably had a very busy day eating! Even though it was so big, its brain was about the size of a walnut! 🤯 That’s like the size of a small toy car! Isn’t that funny to think about?
