Pterodactyl Pals: Flying High! ☁️
Did you know that pterodactyls weren’t dinosaurs? Nope! They were actually flying reptiles that lived at the same time as dinosaurs, but they were a different kind of creature altogether. This little guy in our black and white color panel is a Pteranodon, which means “winged toothless one”! Pretty cool, right? They had huge wingspans, some as big as a small airplane! ✈️ Imagine having wings that big – you could fly all the way to the moon! 🌕
This Pteranodon is soaring through the sky, just like they did millions of years ago. Those puffy clouds are the perfect backdrop for its majestic flight. In this color panel, you get to decide what kind of sky it’s flying in. Is it a sunny day with bright blue skies? Or maybe a stormy day with dramatic dark clouds? You’re the artist! 🎨
Fun Fact! 💡 Pteranodons didn’t flap their wings like birds do. Instead, they used their long, strong forelimbs to glide and soar on the wind, kind of like a kite! They probably ate fish, diving into the water to catch their meals. So, next time you see a bird gliding, think of our Pteranodon friend in this awesome color panel!
