Fun in the Snow with Our Polar Pal! 🐻‍❄️

Did you know that polar bears are actually born with black skin? It’s true! Their fur looks white because it’s hollow and reflects sunlight, making them perfectly camouflaged in their icy home. This little cub in our color panel looks like they’re having the time of their life building a snow fort, just like kids do! They’ve got all the essential gear: a shovel for digging, a bucket for carrying snow, and even a cozy hat and scarf to keep them warm. Polar bear cubs are born blind and covered in thin, white fur, and they stay with their mothers for about two years, learning all the important skills for survival.

The snow igloo the cub is building is pretty cool! Igloos are actually a smart way to stay warm in the Arctic. The snow acts as insulation, trapping body heat and keeping the inside toasty. Polar bears don’t typically live in igloos themselves; they prefer to sleep in dens dug into snowdrifts. But this little cub is clearly channeling its inner architect! Imagine all the snowy adventures this cub could have with its snowballs and fort!

Snowy Activities! 🌨️

This image is a fantastic starting point for any budding artist. You can add your own magical touches to this winter scene. What color will you make the polar bear’s hat and scarf? Perhaps a bright blue or a sunny yellow? You could even add more snowballs or perhaps some friendly penguins or seals visiting the fort!
