Meet the Amazing Spinosaurus! 🦕
Did you know that the Spinosaurus is one of the biggest meat-eating dinosaurs ever discovered? It’s even bigger than the mighty T-Rex! Imagine a dinosaur so large, it could probably reach the top of a double-decker bus! 🚌
This spiky fellow, whose name means “spined lizard,” is famous for the incredible sail on its back. Scientists think this sail might have helped it to show off to other Spinosaurus, or maybe it helped them stay cool like a fan on a hot day. What do you think? ☀️
The Spinosaurus lived a long, long time ago, around 112 to 93.5 million years ago, in what is now North Africa. It spent a lot of its time near rivers and swamps, where it loved to hunt for fish. 🐠 It had a long, crocodile-like snout, perfect for snapping up slippery fish! So, while it was a fearsome predator, it was also a bit of a fishy enthusiast!
In our fun coloring panel, this Spinosaurus looks super happy and ready for an adventure in the jungle. It even has a funny horn on its nose! Maybe it uses its horn to nudge branches out of the way or to play a game of tag with its dinosaur friends. What color will you make its sail? Will it be red, blue, or maybe even rainbow-striped? 🌈 And what about the jungle? You can make the leaves super green, add some colorful flowers, and maybe even draw some friendly bugs for it to say hello to!
