The Wonderful World of Snowmen! ⛄️
Did you know that the first recorded snowman was made in 15th century France? That’s a super long time ago! This cheerful fellow in our color panel is enjoying a classic snowman look. He has a warm scarf to keep him toasty and a jolly Santa hat, signaling that Christmas is just around the corner! 🎅
Snowmen are often made with three snowballs stacked on top of each other, getting smaller as they go up. The bottom one is for the body, the middle one for the chest, and the top one for the head. Sometimes, people use carrots for noses, twigs for arms, and coal for eyes and buttons, just like the ones on our snowman friend!
Our snowman is also holding a candy cane! 🍭 Did you know candy canes were originally straight white sugar sticks? They were invented as a way to keep children quiet during church services. The red and white stripes were added later to represent the blood and purity of Jesus. Pretty neat, huh?
