Meet Percy the Penguin! 🐧❄️
Look at Percy! He’s not really ice skating in this picture, but he’s standing on a big, round piece of ice called an ice floe. Imagine this: Percy is having a grand time in the snow! The little flower-like shapes floating down are actually snowflakes, making his day extra magical. ✨
Percy is a special kind of penguin, and he looks super friendly with his round, pink cheeks. He’s right in the middle of his icy island, and his little wings are spread out like he’s about to give you a big, frosty hug! 🤗 He lives in a place with lots of snowy trees, which look like they have fun, sketch-like outlines. 🌲🌲🌲
Fun Penguin Facts! 🐧
Did you know that penguins can’t fly? ✈️ Nope! Their wings are perfect for swimming super fast underwater, like little flippers! 🏊 They are amazing swimmers and can hold their breath for a really long time. Some penguins can even dive very, very deep!
Penguins live in cold places, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere. 🇦🇺🇳🇿 And guess what? They have a special kind of “feather” that helps them stay warm in the icy water. Their black and white coloring also helps them hide from predators. The black on their back helps them blend in with the dark ocean depths when viewed from above, and their white bellies make them look like the bright sky when seen from below! Clever, right?
And those pink cheeks? Well, real penguins don’t have pink cheeks like Percy here, but it makes him extra cute for our color panel! Their real cheeks are usually covered in feathers. Percy is having a wonderful time, and he can’t wait for you to add some bright colors to his snowy adventure!
